Osha Matcha Latte

Ingredients

½ cup osha root decoction (https://www.mountainroseherbs.com/products/osha-root-osh-1oz/profile)

½ cup nut milk

1 teaspoon matcha powder

½ teaspoon of honey or maple syrup (optional), or to taste

Directions

To make the decoction (a tea made from dried roots, bark, or seeds), place ½ ounce (by weight) of osha root in a saucepan, and cover with 2 cups of water. Allow to sit for at least one hour, up to 8. Then, slowly bring the root and water to a low boil, and simmer for 15 minutes (boiling longer than 25 minutes will cause the volatile oils in the osha to evaporate(. Strain the liquid, and offer the used root back to the earth with gratitude.

Heat the osha root decoction and nut milk a small saucepan over medium heat, until it just comes to a simmer.

Place the matcha powder in a ceramic cup. Slowly whisk in the osha-nut milk mixture to create a light foam. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup, if you are so inclined. Enjoy!
