HELLO
Thank you for being here! I am an intuitive coach, healer, author, behavioral health professional, and retreat leader with a passion for working with people of all ages to develop mind, body and spirit wellness. I am a strong advocate for mission-driven, heart-centered business practices, embodied mindfulness, and enjoy working with mission driven entrepreneurs and other professionals. And I believe that it is more important than ever for each of us to cultivate heart-centered practices in our work and personal lives.
MY STORY
I have a passion for working with people of all ages to develop mind, body and spirit wellness. While working full-time, writing my dissertation, and raising my daughters as a single parent, I learned the vital importance of self-care – you can’t be your best for others unless you take time to take care of yourself.
I hold a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Fordham University, with a focus on how bio-psycho-social-spiritual factors influence healthy human development throughout the lifespan and across cultures. I became a Certified Life Coach in 2003. In addition, I have two decades of experience in research, including: marketing research, with a focus on healthcare, branding, and product development; program design and evaluation; cancer prevention; and mental health promotion. For the past decade, I have served as a volunteer mentor and business plan reader for social entrepreneurs for Mentor Capital Network.
For over 20 years, I have been studying, practicing, and teaching behavioral health methods to individuals, groups, and corporations, including: stress management, mindfulness practices, positive psychology methods, breathwork, energy medicine, healthy daily habits, and more.
In 2017, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training. I have since completed additional training in inclusivity, body positivity, gentle dynamic yoga, and functional yoga. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching people of all ages: from toddlers to seniors; family yoga to gentle yoga; restorative to intermediate vinyasa flow. In addition, I have studied herbalism with Wild Routes Ireland and Susun Weed, Reiki with Carlos Gonzalez, shamanism with Mara Freeman (Celtic) and Alberto Villoldo (Peruvian), Past Life Regression with Brian Wiess, medical intuition with Carolyn Myss and Dr, Norman Shealy, and more.
I have been offering wellness workshops, in a variety of settings, on various mind-body-spirit topics since 2003. And I am the author of Growing Toward Balance: Achievable Ideas for Bringing Harmony to Your Mind, Body, and Spirit and It’s Your Time Now: What Will You Do With It? and have a new book, Lessons from a Reluctant Healer: On Learning to Listen to that Still Small Voice Within to Better Bring Your Gifts to the World.
