May 2022 Taos Self-Care and Relaxation Weekend Retreat

ABOUT THE RETREAT

We are all looking for ways to cope with stress in nurturing, intuitive, thoughtful ways. In this retreat, we will: discuss ways to reduce stress in our daily lives; practice radical self-care to build up our emotional reserves; learn the importance of setting healthy boundaries; and hold space for one another. During this retreat, we will come together to practice relaxing yoga, enjoy guided meditation, share healthy nourishing meals, and take time out to relax, create, and just be.

Registration ranges from $595 to $795, depending on room type and when you register. 

During this retreat, we will gather at the beautiful, rustic Blue Sky Retreat and Bed & Breakfast at the historic San Geronimo Lodge (adjacent to historic and enchanting downtown Taos, New Mexico) to practice restorative and vinyasa yoga, enjoy guided meditation, share healthy nourishing meals, and take time out to relax, create, and just be. Together, we’ll nourish our bodies with healthy plant based meals, herbal teas, yoga, and optional hiking in the nearby high dessert. And we’ll nourish our minds and spirits with guided meditation, sharing circles, and unplugging from the busy-ness of the world. There will be a nice balance of learning, movement, creating, and quiet time. During your free time, you can take time alone for yourself, avail yourself of Blue Sky’s labyrinth and hot tub.

ABOUT THE VENUE

The beautiful rustic Blue Sky Retreat and Bed & Breakfast at the historic San Geronimo  Lodge is located in magical Taos, New Mexico. Their property has 18  bedrooms, a swimming pool, hot tub, labyrinth, and a meditation  path on three beautiful acres just two miles from Taos Town Square. They are located 30 min away from Taos Ski Valley and Angel Fire Resort.

SCHEDULE (everything is optional – the main point is to relax and unwind!)

Friday

3:00 pm – Check in

5:00 pm – Meet and Greet, Opening Ceremony

6:30 pm – Dinner at Blue Sky

7:30 pm – Chillaxing time: restorative yoga with Julia, hang out in the hot tub or pool, whatever you want

Saturday

7:00 am – Gentle Morning Yoga with Julia

8:30 am – Breakfast at Blue Sky

10:00 am – Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga with Mary

11:00 am – Lunch from Manzanita Market (available to eat at Blue Sky, or as a box lunch for your afternoon outing)

1:00 pm – Vision Boarding with Kia, or free time

5:00 pm – Guided meditation workshop

6:30 pm – Dinner at Blue Sky

7:30 pm – Restorative Yoga with Julia

Sunday

7:00 am – Gentle Morning Yoga with Mary

8:30 am – Breakfast at Blue Sky

9:00 am – Closing Ceremony, Goodbyes

Please note that, if gathering is prohibited in Taos due to COVID at the time of our retreat, you will have the option of receiving a full refund or joining us on a rescheduled date.

We ask that all guests provide proof of vaccination so that we can enjoy the yoga yurt maskless.

CANCELLATION POLICY

(a)   Due to the nature of this event and because we have obligations to pay the resort to secure your room, there is a $100 non-refundable deposit on all purchases.

(b)  You (or any member of your party) may cancel your booking at any time, providing that the cancellation is made by the person submitting the booking form and we are notified in writing. Cancellation will take effect the day such notification is received by us. Should you choose to cancel your participation in the Retreat prior to 30 days before the start of the Retreat, you will receive a refund of the total amount paid to Company minus the non-refundable deposit of $100. If such cancellation is made within less than 30 days before the start of the retreat, we will retain the full amount paid. However, if another person can be found to take your place, then we may offer you a refund at our discretion.

(c)   Bookings are for the stated period of the retreat. There are no refunds for an unused portion of the retreat. If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of your Insurance Policy, you may be able to make a claim on your insurance.

GETTING THERE

BY AIR & CAR – Please note that Taos is a 2.5 hour drive from ABQ

From ABQ (Albuquerque Sunport) airport by car take I-25N to I-84N to I-68N to Taos. Once in Taos, it is a very short drive to 1101 Witt Road.

BY CAR

The Blue Sky Retreat Center is located at 1101 Witt Road, two miles from Taos Plaza, off of Highway 64 (aka Kit Carson Highway). The road to take is Witt Road, which intersects with both Highway 64 and Paseo del Canon East (585). DO NOT TAKE SAN GERONIMO ROAD as it is 4 wheel drive only and not paved and not in good repair. If your GPS takes you down San Geronimo Road, please go on Witt Road instead.
